Cross Country Skiing

This past weekend Joseph and I went cross country skiing with my roommate Heather and some of her friends for her birthday. We were in Mesa Falls which is about 45 minutes from BYU Idaho. Joseph was so great to help me up from numerous falls throughout the day...and he packed us peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch! DE-LISH!!!

It was so bright and sunny the whole time we were out skiing. The weather cooperated and was a surprisingly warm 30ish degrees.
Happy Birthday Heather!

The Book is D.O.N.E.

Over Thanksgiving break I submitted my book for printing and it just came a few days ago. I can't even tell you how great it was to see the package waiting for me on my bed. And when I opened it, I couldn't believe that over a year ago I was formulating ideas in my head about the book and now here it is. I can't believe it has all come to pass. I'm excited to present it at my Senior Symposium this week!

Okay, so maybe I got a little picture happy but you would too if you spent 85 hours on a project and were so relieved it was over. Can you also tell this red sweater is one of my sweaters. Wore it on Thursday...and Sunday! ;)

The book is 206(mostly pictures) and I ordered the heavier paper, so it is kind of huge, but I'm happy with the way it came out. I think it weighs like 8 pounds!

I read over the book and there are a couple of punctuation mistakes that I just couldn't see when I was putting to book together on my computer. I was so nervous looking through it the first time because I was afraid there would be a couple of things wrong...and there were, but I'm still so thrilled with the final product.

My Bobsled Team

Last year I got an e-mail in the Philippines that my parents broke down and bought a fake Christmas tree on clearance. Over Thanksgiving break, Dad and I set it up. Then I played "bobsled" with my nephews in the box. It was great.
(Tommy was a little upset that he was the brakeman and couldn't fit in the back. Kind of like Sanka in Cool Runnings!)

My Only College Regret

A few days ago I was putting some dishes away in my little apartment and I found this loaf of HARD and MOLDING bread on top of the fridge. N.O.O.N.E. would claim it was theirs! It was there a few weeks into the semester when it had already started molding and no one would claim it back then either! Hence the reason why it's still sitting there.

The whole entire bottom was blue and the bread looked like it was starting to fuse to the plastic bag and it probably would have started fusing to the fridge if I hadn't have moved it to take its picture.

I took it down from the top of the fridge and busted up laughing. I've never seen bread get this bad. Then I couldn't resist taking a picture after I saw the "sell by" date as September 14(over two months ago!). It was then that I decided my only regret from college was not taking pictures of all the molding tomatoes, rotten eggs, crusty cheese, and spoiled milk, and green and blue leftovers in Tupperware I've come across in the fridges I've used while at school!

Love is...

...when your mom calls you at school while shes hundreds of miles away at the grocery store in PA and surprises you by asking, "What do you want for Sunday dinner when you get home?" True love...when you go home from school for break and everything you asked for tastes even better than you ever imagined. :)

Hair Cut!

This post is for you Miss Alex Young! :) I told you I was getting a haircut, but I probably won't see you until after Thanksgiving.

Here's what it looks like! It only cost me 9 dollars and 2 hours(my lady was a first year student) at the Paul Mitchell Beauty School. I'm completely satisfied.

Senior Project

It's probably safe to say that I haven't thought more than a few times this whole semester about updating my blog. Between the senior project, being on a tennis team, taking 16 credits, teaching Relief Society, and working 12 hours a week, I just haven't found time.

BUT...I needed to share with you all(more like the few of you who are still reading my blog) that I just finished the raw text for the book I'm writing about the people on my mission for my senior project. I'M SO EXCITED!!

I'm writing a book called "Profiles of Faith" and sharing the stories of 12 people whose lives were dramatically changed because of the faith they exercised in the Savior.

I'm publishing the book (over 300 pictures and over 9,000 words in text) through a company called Blurb. I will present the book at the senior symposium on December 7th!
